Zain, the leading mobile telecommunications company in the State of Kuwait revealed its commencement of performing an integral modernization and development process of its network, to increase the range of its operational capacity and cope with the latest technology in telecommunication world.
The company mentioned that its network now enjoys the highest international standards, particularly in the field of data transfer, stating that the process of development, modernization, and expansion of the network is an ongoing process. Based on this, the company commenced the experimental transmission process on the "LONG Term Evolution" LTE network.
The company was keen to perform the experimental transmission process in a well studied working environment and within the limits of specific criteria. Therefore, the results of the transmission experiment reached 150 mb/s for the multipurpose downloading process, which serves modern technology. Thus, Zain is the first telecommunications company to announce introducing this advanced network in the State of Kuwait, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communication, which supports the company for providing the latest technologies in the world of communication.
The company stated that its network now enjoys the latest international standards, particularly in the process of data transfer, referring that the process of modernizing, developing and expanding the network.
Building on this, the company commenced the experimental transmission on the LONG Term LTE Evolution, being the first telecommunication company to announce the testing on this developed network in the State of Kuwait, placing its customers on the zenith of telecommunications revolutions in the area.
The Chief Executive Officer in Zain-Kuwait Mr. Khaled Al-Omar said in this occasion " It is well known that "Zain" always seeks the latest telecommunications technology, and therefore is keen to be the first company to provide high speed internet via its network as the latest in Kuwait, via the experimental transmission of LTE network. This will provide our customers with the experience of downloading mega files, surfing the internet and e-mail, telecommunication, in addition to downloading songs, video clips, and even watching live transmission of TV channels and listen to radio stations on the internet.
Al- Omar also added "When the development and modernization process of the network is finalized we would have added a distinguished value to the current services. Through this, we will be able to increase the connection capacity in a manner that allows us enjoy the best mobile telecommunications network in Kuwait in Collaboration with the Ministry of Communications. We are always keen to cope with the latest developments in the field of information technology to provide the added-value to all our products and services.
